Cllr David Casewell
Hello!
I have lived with my wife Loreley in Uppingham for about 30 years , and in Gretton for 10 years before that. I have been employed for almost all my working life as a teacher, and latterly manager, in Further Education; but am now retired. Yippee!
As well as a member of the Town Council ,I am also a member of Uppingham Town Partnership, Uppingham Feast Committee, Uppingham Neighbourhood Plan task group, Uppingham Masonic Lodge and membership secretary of the Rutland CAMRA branch. I have been a member of the Rutland Morris Men for nearly 40 years –I'm the loud one with the top hat! I also act as a trustee for the James Thorpe housing charity, and a member of the "Poor Lands" charity committee. I also am part of the Town Twinning Association.
So I'm pretty heavily involved in the Town of which I am mighty proud. It is a great community to live in , and I would like to keep it that way!
David sits on the following committees, Neighbourhood Plan, Staffing and Amenities.
