Distinguished in Place and Repute

Cllr. Godfrey Jennings

Cllr. Godfrey Jennings

I have lived in Uppingham for 37 years with my wife, Maureen. We have a son, Alex, and daughter, Leah, and three grandchildren.

I am a retired Further Education lecturer and remain active in the East Midlands Retired Members' Branch of the University and College Union (UCU) having been a branch and regional officer. Until recently I was Branch Chair of the Rutland and Launde Branch Labour Party. I sit on the Steering Committee of Save Our NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Apart from health, my main concerns locally are truly affordable and social housing and public transport.

I hope I will be able to voice the concerns of residents and especially those who are struggling at the moment.

Godfrey sits on the Planning Committee and the Neighbourhood Plan Advisory Committee.
