I was born and bred in Newtown Crescent, Uppingham, and having spent most of my life here, I have an interest in the people who are not so affluent and the problems they face living in an expensive area.

Before retiring, I worked in the steel industry for 43 years, ending my days as Finance Manager for TATA Tubes. I think the experiences I coped with there are a good qualification for an effective councillor.

My interests in retirement mainly centre on restoring old cars and bikes and anything to do with history.
