The next Mayor of Uppingham has been confirmed as Councillor Stephen Rozak, who was previously the Deputy Mayor. His position was confirmed at the Annual Council Meeting, which took place on Wednesday 1 July 2020. Councillor Liz Clarke was confirmed as Deputy Mayor.

Work to start on new play area this summer

Work to start on new play area this summer

Work is soon to begin on upgrading the children's play area on Tod's Piece.

The project has been slightly delayed by the Covid-19 outbreak, however the Council can now confirm that contractors will be on site from mid-July to start work on creating new playground surfaces and installing new equipment, benches and fences.

The work is funded by FCC Communities Foundation and Uppingham Town Council.

From FRIDAY 5th JUNE non-essential market traders are permitted to return to the Uppingham weekly market, as per Government guidance.

Customers are reminded to continue to follow government safety guidelines and maintain social distancing of 2 meters when using the market. Market stall holders should put measures in place to help ensure customers can shop safely.
