On Tuesday 3rd May 2016 Uppingham will grant the freedom of entry to the town to 2nd Royal Anglian Regiment.

The parade and march through town with military band and corps of drums will be the first such occasion in the small market town. Local schools have been invited to watch the event and cadets from Uppingham School will help on the day ensure things run smoothly.

Mayor David Ainslie will after a short service in the Market Place present a scroll to commemorate the occasion to the senior regimental officer. Don't miss out and make sure you get into town for just after 10:00am to be ready to see proceedings. The march will leave the Uppingham School Science block on Stockerston Road at 10:30am.
