Work starts on Tod's Piece play area refurbishment

Construction has begun on the refurbishment of the children's play area at Tod's Piece in Uppingham. The town's Mayor David Casewell said "We are delighted that the work has started and we are now able to progress with this much-needed upgrade. Our new play area will have all-weather surfaces and new and improved equipment for children to enjoy. The lock-down has delayed the project but has also shown the importance of such community spaces and parks."

The improvements are funded by FCC Communities Foundation and Uppingham Town Council and the new space will be open and ready to use in time for the summer.
