Victoria Fountain Restored

The Queen Victoria Jubilee Fountain in Uppingham has been restored, thanks to a donation by a local resident. The Grade II listed monument was built in 1887 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reign of Queen Victoria and has now been cleaned by a specialist company.

Built in stone in the gothic revival style, the fountain is a key part of the Market Place in Uppingham. Steve Rozak, the Mayor of Uppingham said "It is wonderful to see the Victoria Fountain restored to its former glory and the Town Council is extremely grateful to the Uppingham resident whose generous donation made this work possible."
