Market Square toilets

Uppingham's Market Square toilets are owned and maintained by Rutland County Council. Uppingham Town Council has been in a negotiation for some time with the County Council and Barclays Bank, whereby the Town Council will take over ownership and full responsibility for the toilets and Barclays will install a 24-hour cash machine in the outside wall. These negotiations are nearing completion, but at present we are unable to say when the transfer of ownership will happen - we hope it will be very soon. Once the toilets are in Town Council ownership, it is planned to refurbish them.
