Attached is a press release from Rutland County Council signalling a change in early April 2019 to the car parking charges. It is hoped this move encourages those in the villages and Uppingham to use our High Street more, as well as those passing through Uppingham.

We have held a meeting with Barclays and put forward our concerns about problems that the branch closure could potentially cause in Uppingham. We have had a very constructive meeting with representatives from the bank and discussed some potential solutions to mitigate some of these issues. The bank has agreed to look into our suggestions and we intend to hold a further meeting in the near future.

Rutland County Council is warning residents not to respond to unsolicited emails offering refunds for an overpayment.
Several Rutland residents have contacted the Council after receiving an email that appears to come from HM Revenue & Customs and claims to offer a refund following a City Council overpayment for late 2017.

It is anticipated the works will take 3 days. The closure shall come into force when the appropriate signs are erected on site.
The duration of the Closure shall be as follows: from 19th February 2019 to 21st February 2019
