WW1 Commemoration - Weeping Window
The weeping window made from knitted poppies under the guidance of Sue Streeter of the WI and other members of our local churches, will be unveiled on 1st November and will remain in place for the week after 11th November.

New Bench Installed
A new bench has been installed in the lay-by off Ayston Road between the Beeches and Wheatley Avenue following feedback that it would be a great locations for those walking between town and Uppingham Surgery.

A commemoration of the centenary of the end of the First World War and 100 years of women voting.

Telephone Scam in Rutland - Message from Rutland County Council
The Council has taken a large number of calls from residents who say they've been contacted by scammers posing as Council officers and asking for bank details over the phone. In some cases they are also claiming to work for the resident's bank to extract this information.

Road Closure Notice - Seaton Road 12th & 13th Sept 2018
There are some roadworks being undertaken for 2 days on Seaton Road this coming 12th & 13th September. Access will be maintained and supported by marshals whilst works are undertakan for local residents.

Plans are in place for cover over the school holiday period and attached are the key contacts during this period. If you are hiring the Town Hall the opening and closing of the premises have been allocated for your starting and closing times. Start at the top of the list for the date in question to speak to someone if you have an issue.

Road Closure Notice - Spring Back Way 23-25th July 2018
Tarmac will be undertaking some pathway resurfacing resulting in the closure of Spring Back Way in July.
This is not connected in anyway with any potential plans to add traffic calming and a one way system - details of which are yet to be finalised.

The deadline for applications for Grant Aid is 24th April at 12 noon and these will be considered on 2nd May 2018 at the Full Council meeting.
