Victoria Fountain Restored

The Queen Victoria Jubilee Fountain in Uppingham has been restored, thanks to a donation by a local resident. The Grade II listed monument was built in 1887 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reign of Queen Victoria and has now been cleaned by a specialist company.

From FRIDAY 5th JUNE non-essential market traders are permitted to return to the Uppingham weekly market, as per Government guidance.

Customers are reminded to continue to follow government safety guidelines and maintain social distancing of 2 meters when using the market. Market stall holders should put measures in place to help ensure customers can shop safely.
